Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone And Ranbir Kapoor To Star In Karan Johar’s Sangam Remake? Here’s What They Said On Koffee With Karan 8

Bollywood director Karan Johar has expressed his desire to remake the classic film Sangam with actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. The trio, who have been linked in a love triangle in the past, could star in the film that revolves around two best friends who fall in love with the same girl.

The idea was revealed by Ranveer Singh on the first episode of Koffee With Karan 8, where he and his wife Deepika Padukone were the guests. During the rapid fire round, Karan asked Ranveer, “In a love triangle featuring you and Deepika, which male actor would you not mind being cast to be the third character?” Ranveer replied, “Ranbir.” He then added, “You wanted to make Sangam with the three of us, right?” Karan confirmed, “Yes.”

Ranveer then teased Karan for not going ahead with his plans. “You are always boasting but make nothing concrete.” Karan said he can still make Sangam and asked the two actors, “Sign it?” Deepika agreed, “Done.” Karan said, “I am dying to (make it).”

In addition to discussing his collaboration with Ranbir on the Sangam adaptation, Ranveer stated that he would like to team up with Ranbir Kapoor to recreate the now-famous Dola Re Dola performance from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Remake of iconic film Sangam

Sangam was originally directed and produced by Ranbir Kapoor’s grandfather, Raj Kapoor. The 1964 film starred Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala and Rajendra Kumar in the lead roles and was a blockbuster. The film is considered as one of the finest works of Raj Kapoor and is known for its songs and cinematography.

If Karan Johar manages to make Sangam with Ranveer, Deepika and Ranbir, it will be a treat for the fans who have been waiting to see them together on screen. Deepika has worked with both Ranveer and Ranbir in several films and has shared great chemistry with them. Ranveer and Ranbir have also shown their bromance on Koffee With Karan 6 in 2016. However, there is no official confirmation about the project yet.

The video, which was premiered on Karan Johar’s popular chat show, showed some adorable moments from Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding, which took place in 2018 at the picturesque Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. The video also featured bytes from their families talking about the couple and their relationship.

The video started with Ranveer giving a toast at his wedding and saying that he had once said that he would marry Deepika Padukone and the day had finally come. He also thanked her for being his “everything”. The video then showed glimpses of their wedding ceremonies, including the Konkani and Sindhi rituals, as well as their reception parties.
