Sam Bahadur, the biopic of the legendary Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, is all set to release on December 1, 2023. The film, directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, chronicles the life and achievements of Sam Manekshaw, who led the Indian Army to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and became the first Field Marshal of India.

Parsi led companies to pay homage to proud Parsi Sam Manekshaw

Sam Manekshaw, who passed away in 2008, was a proud Parsi and a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, the second-highest and third-highest civilian award in India. To celebrate his legacy and inspire their employees, several Parsi-led companies have decided to organise special screenings of the film for their staff.

Some of the prominent companies that will be hosting the screenings are Tata Group, Poonawallas Group of Industries, Godrej Group, and Shapoorji Pallonji Group. These companies have a long history of Parsi leadership and have contributed immensely to the economic and social development of India.

The screenings will be held in various cities across India, where the companies have their offices and branches. The employees will get a chance to watch the film before its official release and learn more about the life and values of Sam Manekshaw.

The film also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Neeraj Kabi in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and is expected to do well at box office.

Sam Bahadur’s First Song ‘Badhte Chalo’ Is A Tribute To The Indian Army

The makers of ‘Sam Bahadur‘, the biopic of India’s first field marshal Sam Manekshaw, have released the first song from the film, titled ‘Badhte Chalo’. The song, composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and penned by Gulzar, is a motivational anthem that celebrates the courage and spirit of the Indian Army. The song features Vicky Kaushal, who plays the titular role.

The song showcases Sam Manekshaw as he leads his troops in various battles and operations. The song starts with a dialogue, “Wars padhna mera kaam hai aur unhe jeetna bhi” as he motivates his army men and prepares them for the war. The song also pays homage to the different regiments and units of the Army, by incorporating their unique war cries in the chorus. The song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani and Divya Kumar, who lend their powerful voices to the stirring lyrics.
