EXCLUSIVE: Manoj Bajpayee’s 100th Film Bhaiyya Ji Drops Big On Day 4, Might End Up With Similar Lifetime Numbers As Main Atal Hoon; OTT ‘Stars’ Flop At Box Office
Bhaiyya Ji, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, marks a significant milestone in Manoj Bajpayee’s career as it is his 100th film. The revenge drama released on Friday, May 24, 2024, and received poor reviews from audiences and critics alike.
After Poor Opening Weekend, Further Drop On Monday
Film opened to poor numbers and it never improved throughout the day. Film received poor reviews and that further dwindled chances at box office. Film collected approximate Rs 1.44 crore nett all India at the box office on its opening day. Film needed big jump on day two but film collected poor 2.01 crore nett with hardly 22-25% growth. Film added poor 2.40 crore nett on day three. Film collected 5.85 crore nett over weekend.
Film added 88 lacs nett on day 4 with expected big drop.
Film has 4 – day total of 6.73 crore nett and it will fail to cross even 10 crore nett lifetime!

Day 3: 2.40 cr
Day 4: 0.88 cr
Total: 6.73 crore nett
Bhaiyya Ji faces competition from other films in the theaters. Hollywood film Furiosa: A Mad Max Sagaperformed better, earning more than Rs 2 crore on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with an overall collection of Rs 6.25 crore. Additionally, Mammootty-starrer Turbo also hit theaters and made Rs 15 crore in its first three days.
Manoj Bajpayee’s loyal audience may continue to support him on ott, especially considering his credibility as an actor who consistently delivers quality performances.
What is interesting that film will end up around 8-10 crore nett lifetime which is similar to lifetime numbers of Main Atal Hoon. Both films had ott actors and both flopped badly at box office.
While Bhaiyya Ji didn’t have a decent opening, its prospects for the lifetime is bleak. Despite film faces minimal competition from other Hindi releases, it has failed to score big box office collections. Manoj Bajpayee’s presence was not good enough for theatrical audience.
