Is Jee Le Zaraa NOT Happening? Alia Bhatt Says THIS About Her Road Trip Film With Priyanka Chopra & Katrina Kaif
Jee Le Zaraa, announced in 2021, has been a major talking point among film fans. Persistent rumours have suggested that the film might be shelved due to speculation about Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif leaving the project. These rumours have stirred quite a bit of uncertainty, leading many to question the film’s future.
In a recent interview with News18, Alia Bhatt addressed these rumours. She reassured fans that the intention to make the film is still very strong. Alia emphasised that everyone involved is dedicated to bringing Jee Le Zaraa to the big screen. Despite the delays and scheduling conflicts, she expressed confidence that the project will eventually come together.

In her interview, Alia spoke candidly about Jee Le Zaraa. When asked about the film, she said, “I think the intention to make that film is from everybody’s perspective… very, very strong. So just the nature of the subject and we are talking about collaboration earlier when I was talking about Ed… here is a really strong team of collaborators coming together. So the intention is to make it happen.”
She added, “Sometimes there is a time and place for everything and you just have to wait for the right time to come together. But I think the intention in everybody’s hearts is to make sure that this film hits the big screen, someday or the other.”
About Jee Le Zaraa & Its Status
The buddy road movie, marking Farhan Akhtar’s return to directing after more than a decade, was initially announced on the 20th anniversary of his 2001 debut, Dil Chahta Hai. Despite announcing Don 3 last year with Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the lead roles, Farhan has not abandoned Jee Le Zaraa.
Last August, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also denied rumours that the film was shelved, stating that they were merely waiting for the actors’ schedules to align. This delay indicates that while the project is still alive, it might take some more time before production begins.
Alia Bhatt, Priyanka & KAtrina’s Work Front
Alia Bhatt has a busy schedule ahead. She is currently involved in Jigra, Love and War, and a Yash Raj Films action franchise. Priyanka Chopra is gearing up for the release of Heads of State and is shooting for The Bluff. Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif has yet to announce her next project.
