Kalki 2898 AD: CBFC Grants U/A Certificate With No Major Cuts To This LONGEST Prabhas Film – Check Runtime!
Kalki 2898 AD, a highly anticipated sci-fi film starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, is gearing up for its theatrical release.

Kalki 2898 AD (Telugu Version) Receives U/A Certificate With Minor Edits
According to reports from Bollywood Hungama, the movie has cleared the stringent censorship process. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Hyderabad has awarded the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD a U/A certificate, indicating it’s suitable for a wide audience with parental guidance. Luckily, the examining committee didn’t request major cuts, only minor adjustments.
To avoid any misinterpretation of its speculative storyline, the CBFC has mandated a disclaimer at the start of the film, emphasising its fictional nature. Filmmakers were also instructed to modify specific references, like changing ‘6000 years after Mahabharata’ to ‘2898 AD’ and muting the word ‘Veedi’ in relation to Kaal Bhairava.
Kalki 2898 AD Is The Longest Film Of Prabhas With 3+ Hrs Of Runtime
Following these tweaks, the CBFC officially approved the film on 20th June. The certificate specifies that the Prabhas starrer runs for 180.56 minutes, making it the longest movie in Prabhas’s career.
Previously, Adipurush (2023) held this record with a runtime of 179 minutes, closely followed by Salaar (2023) at 175 minutes. In contrast, Radhe Shyam (2022) was much shorter at 138 minutes, while Saaho (2019), Baahubali (2015), and Baahubali 2 (2017) clocked in at 171 minutes, 159 minutes, and 168 minutes respectively.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on June 27.
