War 2: Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Shot 6-Day Speed Boat Chase Sequence; Took 3 Months To Design
Yash Raj Films is gearing up to redefine the spy genre with its highly anticipated release, War 2. Aditya Chopra is sparing no effort to ensure that this film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, becomes a cinematic spectacle. Hrithik Roshan & Jr NTR Film A Speed Boat Chase Sequence For War 2
According to Peeping Moon, War 2 promises jaw-dropping, death-defying action sequences that will set new benchmarks in Indian cinema. Among them is the eagerly awaited speed boat chase, meticulously designed over three months and filmed intensively over six days with precision and stringent safety measures. Internationally acclaimed South African action master Franz Spilhaus, known for Dominion and War, collaborated with water action expert Jason Martin for this visually stunning sequence.
In addition to the high-octane boat chase, Ayan Mukherji has captured an electrifying face-off between Hrithik and Jr. NTR inside an aircraft, choreographed by Franz. The film also features a thrilling train chase, a sword-fighting scene in a Shaolin temple in Japan, and an intense one-on-one combat between the two stars.
Aditya Chopra has assembled a global team of 11 stunt coordinators for War 2, including Spiro Razatos and Sunil Rodrigues, tasked with elevating Indian action to global standards and delivering unprecedented visuals.

War 2 picks up from the acclaimed 2019 original, continuing the journey of Hrithik’s character, Kabir Dhaliwal, a daring Indian RAW agent embarking on a fresh mission. Facing him is Jr NTR, making a spectacular Hindi cinema debut as another RAW agent. Speculations abound regarding a future standalone film for Jr. NTR’s character, underscoring the film’s vast scope and ambition.
Currently in production since November last year, War 2 is slated for completion by September 2024, with a theatrical release scheduled for the Independence Day weekend in 2025.
As Yash Raj Films’ first true pan-India venture and the sixth instalment in its Spy Universe, which includes successes like Ek Tha Tiger and War, expectations are soaring high for this cinematic extravaganza.
