Kalki 2898 AD Falls Short Of Fighter, Becomes 2nd Biggest Hindi Opener Of 2024, 37% Below Prabhas’ Adipurush

Kalki 2898 AD Fails To DEFEAT Fighter On Hindi Box Office
The sci-fi mythological film has set the box office on fire with a Rs 100.75 crore opening day in India, marking the biggest day-one opening in Indian cinema history. The Telugu version led the way, contributing Rs 69 crore to the total.
However, when it comes to the Hindi collection numbers, Kalki 2898 AD fell short compared to Prabhas’ previous films like Adipurush and even Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter.
Kalki 2898 AD earned about Rs 22.50 crore on its opening day in Hindi, but this figure did not surpass the Rs 24.60 crore earned by Fighter. Additionally, it lagged behind Prabhas’ last release, Adipurush, which despite being a flop, managed an opening of Rs 37.25 crore—37% more than Kalki 2898 AD.
Nevertheless, Kalki 2898 AD is poised to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India within the next few hours, beginning its journey to potentially rewrite box office history.
