During her chat with Siddharth Kannan, Divya expressed admiration for Shah Rukh’s generosity, noting that such traits distinguish stars of his stature. Reflecting on her Dil Se experience, she recounted, “I wanted to do the film, and Shah Rukh and I had the same manager at that time. He suggested that I show up on set and ask him to get Mani Ratnam’s number.” Divya vividly recalled the chaotic scene at Connaught Place where she navigated through a throng of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Shah Rukh.

Despite the crowd, Divya was pleasantly surprised when she was escorted to Shah Rukh’s makeshift vanity van, where he warmly received her. “He opened the door for me and held my hand… Such a ladies’ man he is,” she reminisced. Shah Rukh graciously listened to her request and promised to convey her interest in the film to Mani Ratnam, amid the persistent cheers from his fans outside.

In the same interview, Divya candidly discussed her concerns about being typecast in stereotypical roles in the film industry, particularly after her role in Veer-Zaara. “I was worried I would be stereotyped as the best friend of all heroines in the industry,” she admitted.
