Kill: Lakshya & Raghav Juyal’s Film Gets ‘A’ Certificate From CBFC, To Release On 1000 Screens – Check Runtime & BO Analysis!

Jul 5, 2024

Kill is finally hitting the big screen on July 5, after making waves in international film festivals and receiving acclaim from Indian media. Produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, Kill is set to be one of the ‘most violent’ films in Indian cinema.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBRC) has given it an “A – Adults Only” rating, with a runtime of 106 minutes.

Kill To Release On 1000 Screens Across India

Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, Kill features Lakshya and Raghav Juyal in lead roles. AA Films is distributing the movie in India, opting for a tight release on 1000 screens.

The strategy is to focus on the target audience, hoping the international praise will attract viewers over the weekend.

Advance bookings opened on Wednesday night (July 3), and the film has already sold around 1000 tickets for its opening day across the top three national chains: PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.

Film’s Competition With Pan-India Release Kalki 2898 AD At The BO

The film aims to sell 5000 tickets in advance by the end of the day. However, it faces competition from  Nag Ashwin’s’ recent release Kalki 2898 AD, which continues to perform well at the box office, particularly in the Hindi-speaking regions.

The sci-fi film led by Prabhas is expected to remain strong, hovering around the Rs 10 crore mark. In contrast, Kill is projected to open with collections ranging between Rs 1.00 to 1.50 crore. The film’s success will heavily depend on word-of-mouth and its ability to attract a steady audience over the weekend.

Kill Has A Potential To Grow Over Weekend

The trailers and other promotional materials of Kill promise a high-octane action experience. If it manages to exceed the crore mark on its first day, there’s a strong chance for significant growth over the weekend. All eyes are on the film’s performance, with the industry eagerly awaiting to see if it can live up to its hype and establish a strong presence at the box office.

According to our sources, Advance bookings for Kill have surpassed 2000 tickets in national chains. The film is expected to open with collections around Rs 2 crore on its first day.
