Priyadarshan is gearing up for his next big project, marking a reunion with Akshay Kumar after a 14-year hiatus. This dynamic duo has previously delivered hit films like Hera Pheri (2000) and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), so their upcoming collaboration is already generating excitement.

Recently, Priyadarshan was seen visiting Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Mumbai residence. In a video shared on X, the director is spotted arriving at Kareena’s home dressed in a casual black T-shirt and white trousers.
This visit has sparked speculation about whether Kareena might be cast as the female lead in Priyadarshan’s new horror fantasy film.

Fans are buzzing with guesses and theories. Given Priyadarshan and Kareena’s history of successful collaborations, the possibility of her joining the cast seems likely.
They previously worked together on Kareeb (1998), where Kareena made her film debut, and also on Kyon Ki (2005), a romantic drama. Kareena also made a memorable cameo in Priyadarshan’s comedy classic, Hera Pheri (2000).
The new film, set to be produced by Ektaa Kapoor, will explore themes of black magic, a classic superstition in India. Priyadarshan has hinted that the film will blend horror and fantasy with humour.
Speaking about the project, he said, “Now that I am done with my docu-series on the Ram Mandir’s history, my most important film on which I am beginning work is the one with Akshay, produced by Ekta Kapoor. It is a horror fantasy with humour.”
He also compared it to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, noting, “That was a psychological thriller, but this one will be fantasy, in the backdrop of black magic, the oldest superstition of India. It is always a pleasure collaborating with Akshay. From our first film to this one, it has always turned out well with him. He handles the emotions so well. I was waiting for a good subject to get back with him, and this one I feel will be that.”
For the unversed, the first glimpse of his upcoming film is expected to be out on September 9. Let’s wait and watch.
