What’s In Devara: Part 1 Trailer?
In the 2-minute-39-second trailer, director Koratala Siva introduces us to a world where the sea turns red with conflict. Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan appear in fierce avatars, seemingly locked in a deadly rivalry.
Saif’s character rules over a region where fear is unknown, but Jr NTR’s arrival changes that, as tensions mount and Saif plans a cunning move to defeat the man who taught them fear.
Janhvi Kapoor plays a village girl in love with Jr NTR’s character’s son, also played by Jr NTR, in what appears to be a dual role.
The trailer hints that while the younger Jr NTR might not live up to his father’s reputation, he could be forced to rise to the occasion when the stakes get higher.
This marks Jr NTR’s highly anticipated return to the big screen after his international success with RRR. It’s also the Telugu debut for Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, making Devara: Part 1 a major cinematic event for fans across multiple industries.
Jr NTR Recently Promoted His Film In Mumbai
As part of the promotional tour, Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor were recently spotted in Mumbai. Jr NTR met up with his RRR co-star Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Karan Johar, sparking excitement on social media.
Fan pages on X (formerly Twitter) shared snapshots of the trio, with Jr NTR, Alia, and Karan Johar seen chatting and posing in front of a backdrop reading “Devara ka Jigra”.
Both Jr NTR and Karan opted for casual, blue-toned looks, while Alia donned a sleek black dress and matching heels. Saif and Jr NTR rocked coordinated beige outfits during the promotion, while Janhvi wore a striking blue, half-saree style beaded outfit. The trio is busy promoting the film as buzz builds ahead of the release.
Though ticket sales for India have yet to begin, Devara: Part 1 has already crossed the $1 million mark in pre-sales in North America.
The film’s official X handle announced the news, saying, “He’s turning every part into his RED BLOOD sea,” referring to Jr NTR’s intense character. The pre-sales are for the North American premieres set for a day before the film hits Indian cinemas on 26 September. All eyes are now on how the film will perform when Indian ticket sales open.
What To Expect From Devara: Part 1
Jr NTR is pulling double duty in Devara: Part 1, playing both Devara and his son Varadha. Saif Ali Khan takes on the role of Bhaira, a master of kushti (traditional wrestling), while Janhvi plays Thangam. The film has already released three songs—“Fear Song,” “Chuttamalle,” and “Daavudi”—composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with reactions being mixed so far.
Slated to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, Devara: Part 1 promises an epic cinematic experience when it hits theatres on 26 September 2024.
