The trailer for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has dropped, and it’s already a crowd-pleaser. Unveiled on September 12, the trailer promises a fun ride with a unique twist. The film, helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, is dubbed a “97% parivarik” movie, and here’s why.
In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, Shaandilyaa shed light on this intriguing label.

“Firstly, the film is set in 1997, which is why it’s 97% parivarik,” he explained. “Additionally, around 2.5-3% of the film features a special song between the hero and heroine during their wedding. That’s what makes it ‘mahaparivarik’.” He clarified that this includes a bed scene, which he assures is integral and well-executed.
The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimrii, with a supporting cast featuring Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Archana Puran Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Rakesh Bedi, Tiku Talsania, and Ashwini Kalsekar.
It Has Daler Mehndi’s Revamped Hit Track & Shehnaaz Gill’s Special Dance Number
One of the standout features is a new version of Daler Mehndi’s iconic 1997 track “Na Na Na Na Re.” Shaandilyaa revealed that Mehndi looks as youthful as ever in the new version. He was immediately on board and gave the rights to his song. It is suitable for the climax of the film.
“We were shooting in biting cold on the banks of the river Ganga for three nights. He was ill and yet, he didn’t mind and gave his best shot.,” Raaj said.
Daler Mehndi looks just as he did back in 1997 in the new version. The director said, “Yes. I used to joke with him, ‘Paaji kya khaate hai aisa aap’ (laughs)!”
What’s more, the trailer also teases a surprise dance number by Shehnaaz Gill, which has fans buzzing. Shaandilyaa shared his excitement about casting Gill: “We wanted an actress who looks sweet as well as hot. I approached Shehnaaz. She was interested but was also nervous as it was a grand song. However, I wanted her as it’ll be a fresh choice for a special dance number. Warna main gaano mein same, same face dekh ke thak gaya hoon.”
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video hits cinemas on October 11.
