Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actor Sharmin Segal finds herself amidst criticism once again for her recent comments in an interview.
The actor, who has been receiving flak for her performance in the web series, has stirred controversy with her remarks about co-star Aditi Rao Hydari.
Sharmin Segal Receives Hate For Calling Aditi Rao Hydari A ‘School Girl’
In a video shared on Reddit, Sharmin Segal can be heard referring to Aditi Rao Hydari as a “school girl”. She said, “Aditi is a good schoolgirl, please understand that. The teacher will say you have to submit your homework at this time and Aditi will do exactly that and not one more word than the word count limit. That is Aditi for you. So, according to her everyone is late and she is on time.”
The video sparked outrage among viewers, with one Reddit user commenting, “After the horrendous acting, she still somehow has the guts to speak in the most disgusting and vile manner.”
Criticism poured in regarding Segal’s behaviour towards her co-stars, with many questioning her professionalism and conduct.
Reacting to the video, another user expressed frustration, stating, “She can’t talk properly …. can’t emote / ACT / deliver lines properly .. dude that’s your freaking JOB ….. first do that….. then criticise others.” Similar comments were made by others, highlighting issues with Segal’s accent, demeanour, and acting abilities.

Segal dismissed the term “perfectionist” Sanjeeda used to describe Bhansali, and indirectly called her an ‘outsider’.
