Suneel Darshan Accuses Sunny Deol Of Duping Him Of Nearly 2 Crores: ‘He Has No Respect For Court’s Verdict’

Suneel Darshan, a filmmaker and producer who has worked with Sunny Deol in films like Ajay, Inteqam and Lootere, has accused the actor of not paying him back an amount of Rs 77.25 lakh that he owes him for 27 years and said that, “This man is not even ready to respect the court’s verdict”. The established amount owed by Sunny Deol, according to Darshan, totals Rs 1.77 crore.

Suneel Darshan Claims Sunny Deol Did Not Pay For Distribution Rights Of Ajay (1996)

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Suneel revealed that Sunny had asked for the distribution rights of their 1996 film Ajay when he wanted to start his own international film distribution company. He said that Sunny convinced him to get the money from London and some important papers, and promised to pay him later when he got the prints of the film from Suneel.

However, Suneel alleged that Sunny ignored his requests for the payment and would call him to various cities across the country – Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai – and cite personal problems as the reason behind the non-payment. He said that Sunny also asked for his help in the production of another film that he was working on, and said that he would do a film with him and adjust the dues in his payment after the film was completed. But Suneel claimed that neither was the film completed, nor did he get any money.

While sharing the story, Darshan said, “Later, he asked for my help in the production of a film that he was working on. He said he’d do a film with me and adjust the dues in my payment after the film was completed. I had already done two films with Sunny and I believed him. Neither was the film completed, nor did I get any money. I ran after Sunny Deol for four years and he had some hits as well as some flops during that time. It was wrong, therefore I approached the court.”

Legal Battle Between Suneel Darshan And Sunny Deol

Suneel said that he ran after Sunny for four years and then approached the court for justice. He said that in the court, Sunny Deol claimed that he did not have the money to give him and promised to do a film with him. But Suneel said that Sunny would ask for changes in the script or claim a lack of dates and never completed the film. He said that Sunny never intended to pay his money and that it has been almost 27 years and he is still running around in circles for the court case.

He said that he tried his best for an outside-court settlement but it could not happen. He said that Sunny is not even ready to respect the court’s verdict, which has established the amount that Sunny needs to pay him as Rs 77,25,000. He said that Sunny has set up a lot of property but forgot to return others’ money.

Having said that, Suneel further revealed that Sunny did not have money, hence he promised to do a film with him in order to compensate. The filmmaker further added, “He would ask for changes in the script or claim a lack of dates and never completed the film. Basically, he never intended to pay my money. It has been almost 27 years and I am still running around in circles for the court case. I tried my best for an outside-court settlement but it could not happen. Sunny Deol Has Not Yet Responded To These Claims

Sunny Deol has not yet responded to the allegations made by Suneel Darshan. The actor is currently enjoying the success of his latest release, Gadar 2, which has taken the box office by storm. The film has broken various records and received love from all quarters. The film is a sequel to his 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which also starred Ameesha Patel.

The fans of Sunny Deol have also expressed their support for him on social media platforms. They have praised his performance in Gadar 2 and hailed him as a patriotic hero. They have also dismissed the claims of Suneel Darshan as baseless and motivated by jealousy.
